The Burton Heritage Society hosts the fourtheenth annual Texas Ranger Day in historic Burton, Texas at the Burton Railroad Depot, 507 N Railroad Street, on Saturday, March 15, 2025 from noon to 5pm.  Celebrate Burton’s history with an afternoon of activities including tasty food at the Annie Maud Avis Memorial Chili and Bean cook-off, demonstrations by  the Legends of the Texas Rangers and McNelly's Rangers, folklife demonstrations including blacksmithing, woodworking, leatherworking, kids activities including the Lil Miss & Mr Ranger contest, mule driven buggy rides, and tours of the historic Railroad Depot, as well as the Burton Farmers Cotton Gin (10am & 2pm). As always DJ Kountry Chick will be playing music and keeping it lively! Proceeds will restore our second historic site, the Mt. Zion Historic Chapel. More details coming soon!
